Tia Kratter joined Pixar Animation Studios in 1993 during production of the studio's first feature film, Toy Story. She was the shader art director on five films, including Brave. She currently manages Pixar University's art and film education classes.John Lasseter is a two-time Academy Award® winner, director, chief creative officer at Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, and principal creative officer at Walt Disney Imagineering.

Amazing little, but thick, book for any artist or pixar fan. Each page focuses on a certain frame of a pixar movie that demonstrates a color palette that ties back to the emotion from that scene. As a new animator myself, I'm very glad to have this little gem in my collection!
I bought the used book, because in my opinion that makes it more usable and would encourage me to read it (just a personal prefbooks, I personally like to buy used books :p) .And it's also a lot cheaper than buying brand new (but depending on the seller you choose, the quality might differ, so read seller review and rating to choose wisely if you want to buy used book, and don't set the expectation too high)My book arrived on time, the corner of the cover is slight damaged, (but I consider it to be alright because my paid so much less for this book), nothing on the inside is damaged. The print is amazing! This book is an absolute joy to flip through! Love the rainbow color edge! Everything in this book is color coded, so it really shows different mood and atmosphere of the scene that the creators were painting.
This book is inspiring, engaging, and beautiful!I really loved Tia's presentation of color, emotion and story in this beautiful little book. I can't wait to share it with children in schools as a tool to talk about colors and emotions... and perhaps a few giggles and reminders of fun Pixar movie moments!
Great book for what it is. I'm an amateur animator/filmmaker so I got this to try to get some inspiration and ideas. Color is an important part of film and is crucial for setting tone/mood. It's interesting to flip through the pictures to see how Pixar uses color in their films. Personally I would have preferred a book with words here and there that maybe explained some of the photos a bit, but they obviously just wanted a photo gallery. Regardless, good book.
The book is smaller than expected. If your a Disney or Pixar fan, you will love this book. Photos looks amazing. They have pictures from all the movies up to Coco. Great coffee table book for guests. Made me see the movies differently after going through it.
What a gorgeous book. My 18 year old son has autism and is a huge Pixar fan. Who isn’t right?!? Anyway, he’s also an artist and enjoyed every bit of this book. The OCD part of his brain also enjoyed how everything was catagorized in colors. Just beautiful!!

OKAY I LOVE THIS BOOKI love it.What bugs me tho is that some kf the colors are out of order. Maybe it's not noticeable for alot of people but it is to me and idk seems like they wanted the book to be fluid from color to color and that did work out too well.Anyway. Love the book. Just get a little ocd about the colors and annoyed that noone seems to hire people who can actually tell the difference between colors. *Shrugs*
