this is a wonderful book! thanks goes out to the writers!! its so hard to find material and info for adults with down syndrome. this is an excellent reference guide, also with great tips. brings understanding to living with and living with someone with downs. and what to do for care currently and in the future. very easy to read, not too much over the head info in this book. i would highly recommend to anyone living with or even family members of someone with downs.

I have not completed the book yet as I was distracted by "Mental Wellness in Adults with Down Syndrome" my son is 56 and we have maneuvered through many issues this publication hit home with. It is always good to hear about other experiences, it helps us feel we do not come from another planet but perhaps just another zone.

I highly recommend this book it's worth the price. As my daughter aged and certain things were happening I went to this book for directions. Most doctors don't understand Down Syndrome or the effects medications and certain treatments have on the individual with Downs. I referred to this book at times with my daughters doctors.

Loved this beautiful children's book so much! Full of bright and tasteful pictures with lots of details, my toddler spent a lot of time on each page looking at each part. And the poem from a parent telling their child all of the things they are praying for them will resonate with any parent that wants the best for their child. I love the emphasis on the gift the child is from God and how we as parents can trust that God will help our child grow to share the story of faith in the way each of us lives our lives. Shaul Shaked , Ph.D. (1964) in Iranian Languages, SOAS, is Schwarzmann University Professor (Emeritus) in Comparative Religion at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has published extensively in the fields of Semitic and Iranian Philology, Zoroastrianism and Judaism, and received the Israel Prize for Linguistics in 2000. James Nathan Ford , Ph.D. (2003) in Ugaritic magic, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is Senior Lecturer in Semitic Languages at Bar-Ilan University. The author is Donal Miller. A good review of the ghost towns in Montana. One thing that I did not like was that it looks like this might be a different book then the other one (Similar name, green cover) offered by Donald Miller just by looking at the cover, author, and Amazon. BEWARE! These books are identical or near identical. I am not able to see a difference between the material simply by looking through both of them (other than the published dates). Since neither was expensive I kept both but unless you want two copies you can save some money and just pick one.

The author and his daughter (who put out this "new" which doesn't seem to have updated any information from the nearly four decade-old original) obviously love ghost towns. They also seem to fear that people will vandalize, rob, or destroy these ghost towns. It's my feeling that such miscreants wouldn't go to such great lengths as to purchasing/checking out this book just so they could go vandalize something. Why provide such tantalizingly great information and then not give hardly a clue as to where these towns exist? Obviously the original author didn't have the internet back in the 1970's but his daughter does now. Does she realize that there are entire websites dedicated to locating (and preserving) these towns, even the one they want to keep secret by calling it "Montana Mystery Town"?I had hoped to find a guide to the many ghost towns in the state I live in and love. I now have great information on each town, but have to go to a secondary source to locate them if I want to visit them.

I knew this book was 30 plus years old but some of the ghost towns have degraded even more than I would have guessed. Also, the directions to some of the sites is about 30 years out of date as well. It would be nice to have someone update the content and include actual GPS data and be less secretive about the towns.

this is a good book. it names a lot of the ghost towns of Montana. where they are and how to get to them. it would be handy to have the large Gazette map book to see where you are going. good information on the ghost towns and what they are near and what they were before becoming a ghost town. good book to have if you like to explore ghost towns

This book has been very helpful in planning some family vacations for a hobby. The pictures assist in the type of things to see and also telling if it is public or private has saved numerous mile on the car. If you never get to go see the towns it is still very much worth the read

The photos really stand out to show what an incredibly hard life these early homesteaders, miners, and their families must have encountered. You do need a state map to get a general idea where many of these ghost towns were/area.

We enjoyed the book so much we are going back in September this year, John
