I ordered multiple copies of this book to give as gifts and one to keep for myself. I have been following Robyn's blog, Add a Pinch, for years and have loved the recipes she has on there so I thought this would be a good book. Wow! It is even better than I imagined. The recipes look so amazing and look like they would be so easy to make. I love the way she has the recipes flagged like 30 minutes or less to make, ones to make in the slow cooker, ones you can freeze, and the ones that take just a few ingredients.It is such a beautiful book and I plan to give some of these books to young brides. I know they should be able to follow these recipes. I'm a grandmother and even I learned some things from this book.I also ordered the Kindle edition so I could have it on my iPad. The pictures in this version just pop!

I have enjoyed everything I have made so far. There are some extremely basic recipes but many are so time consuming. I have gotten a fair amount of recipes from her blog, but don't feel mashed potatoes are anything to include in a cookbook. I would have liked to see less of those and more new ideas. The tomato, corn, and okra on the cover is excellent! We also enjoyed the cabbage rolls, buttermilk praline cheesecake (TOOK FOREVER with all the steps) and the pop overs. A good mix of food, but the non 30 min items are no joke, you're going to be there awhile. I recommend the book, but don't expect to be any faster than before.

Fantastic! This book makes cooking so much easier. My favorite recipes are the 30 minutes or less and the 10 ingredients or less. The week night chicken pot pie was a bit hit for everyone in the family last night!

I am so glad to have added Add a Pinch to my library of cookbooks. The color photographs are beautiful! I immensely enjoyed going through it, checking off many recipes that I plan to use for entertaining. I have made many of Robyn recipes from her blog, and they were delicious. Having this compilation of her some of her recipes is a true joy! The recipes are organized well and are easy to follow. So excited! Thanks Amazon for the speedy delivery of my Add a Pinch cookbook. Thanks Robyn for writing it, and I am looking forward to Volume 2!

It's a lovely cookbook, but not a good fit for me. It seems designed for family meal or larger party preparation. For instance, the slow cooker recipes are all designed for 6 quart cookers, appetizers often produce three dozen pieces, and most main and side dishes are aimed at six to eight. I do not like to downsize a recipe on first use, so this is just not going to be useful. It's going back. Southern Living's "Recipe Revival" or Elizabeth Heiskell's "What Can I Bring" seem a bit more versatile.

Wow. This is a must have Southern Cookbook that will delight your table for days to come. All of Robyn's recipes are tested and complete. My favorite meals are "Easy Pepper Steak", and "Balsamic Beef". The "Grilled Watermelon and Peach Salad with Basil and Feta " is truly memorable and is a meal in itself. This recipe book breaks it down to an easy to understand method and is one of my favorite cookbooks.

I purchased this for my Kindle after seeing the author on Food Network's The Kitchen. I'm so glad I did! This is a lovely collection of updated classics for the hone cook. Everything is from scratch but done in a way that isn't overly cumbersome. She arranged things in categories that are more logical than the ones traditionally used in cookbooks. I also appreciate how her love for her family and her heritage shines through in her writing and her recipes. You rock, Georgia Girl!

What a beautiful, well-organized and delicious cookbook! I've followed the Add a Pinch blog for years and love Robyn's recipes, so I was thrilled to receive my books! (I ordered several as gifts!)I made the Easy Skillet Lasagna and Strawberry Shortcakes with Cream Cheese Biscuits and they were a hit!!! I can't wait to dive into more of these recipes!Great Southern book that I feel sure will be a classic! Love it!!!

Pretty simplistic book with basic information on selling energy projects. Had listened to Mark about a year ago and he is a good speaker with a lot of insight into how to sell energy projects. I thought the book was an easy read, but lacked detail in some areas. If you want a quick overview this is a good book, but is not in-depth by any means.

Mark Jewell is an excellent teacher and salesman who knows his topic and is able to effectively communicate to the lay person.

This is a short story about Paul, a 12-yr.-old who loves to play hockey but who is raised by a single mom who does not have the money for him to play. When Paul’s best friend gets a concussion and can’t play and others on the team are sick, Paul gets his chance. It seems everyone on the team is happy to get Paul except for Chad. I think any boy or girl who likes hockey would enjoy this book. I thought it was a good story that promotes teamwork.

Worst reference book ever! It is organized by name, and not even last name, it's first name! There is no table of contents, index or cross-referencing of any kind ... NOT EVEN PAGE NUMBERS! Really? If all you want to do is read through it in idle interest, or if you are looking for quotes for a specific person then maybe it would have some use. But if you want to be able to efficiently find a specific person, or a quote on a particular subject, you are out of luck. I'm sending this back for a refund.

I am such an addict for books of this kind. I must have fifty or more. This one is a doozy. (Is that a word which shows old age?) By that I mean that it is a delight and a pleasure and a treasure and a keeper. I sat down for hours with it when I received it and had great fun circling the quotes which really resonated with me. Oh, one must circle the quotes -- otherwise how will you go back to find the ones you already bonded with, to make sure that you're quoting correctly at brunch with your new in-laws? (Here I suggest Mortimer Adler's classic HOW TO READ A BOOK, where he grants us permission to write all over the books we're reading, circling, underlining, starring, agreeing, disagreeing, posting our own ideas in response.) Generally, I do appreciate depth in most of what I read, but here brevity rules and carries wit along with it. Highly recommended for a good time.

I was a little disappointed when I received this book in the mail. It's a thin book containing various quotes of famous people with LOTS of empty white space between quotes. Not only that, but there are dozens of duplicate quotes throughout the book, some on the very same page. (Page 31 contains "I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship" twice).This is a very poorly edited book (not really even a book, but a print off of a bunch of quotes with a cover slapped on it: no index, no introductory, nothing). All of these quotes can be found online in various quote websites.I still give this 3 stars because I like having all the quotes printed off in front of me to quickly look through, but I'm sure there are much better quote books out there to get instead. I recommend spending your money on a better quote book that was actually edited, or just making your own collection of quotes from the Internet and printing them off to make your own book.

Worst book ive ever bought. 3000 quotes? I guess if you include the repeats....sometimes entire pages are just duplicated. I would return it if there were not a few I hadnt read. The worst. Very frustrating. Also the type set is horrible. Very small and spaced far apart. The book looks big. If you were to condense it to its actual content size with out repeat pages...it would be half the size.

This makes me wonder what kind of process Amazon has in place to ensure quality of items offered for sale in their Kindle Store. HELLO AMAZON...... REMOVE THIS ITEM..... ITS TOTAL GARBAGE!!!!

I was looking for more serious and important quotes from more intellectual originators. This does not come close, however it may please the casual reader.

This book is overpriced and not what I expected. There are MANY duplicate quotes.. too many to count. It's extremely annoying to read the same quote on multiple pages. Many quotes are political and of little interest to me. Honestly, I could have done a better job of selecting quotes from famous people and publishing a book. I'm not impressed with the Hagopian Institute and would never buy another one of their books. I'm just trying to warn consumers as I read only positive reviews and that's why I purchased this book. I feel like I was misled and misguided so I hope this review can help others avoid making the same mistake I did.

This is my favorite of the books that Swoonreads has published so far. The writing is excellent, smart, fast, and clever (full of literary allusions that make it even more interesting on a deeper level for those of us who catch them, but won't slow down anyone who doesn't catch them). The characters are wonderful, too. Maddy is brilliant, courageous, and resourceful, but still a believable teenager, and Gabe is nowhere near perfect, but still perfect for her. And the passages when the author describes the figure skating are just beautiful in and of themselves.

I really enjoyed reading this book, the setting was interesting, I had never read a book who had the central characters be figure ice skaters. It was a whole new world for me and I loved it, I found myself youtubing all the moves that she talked about.The love story between the two friends was very realistic and while I would have liked less moments of calmness I really enjoyed it.If you're looking for a light, fun read set in a dreamlike scenario this book is for you.

Much much much better than i first expected. Really love it that i don't wanna put it down. When i read the last page, I screamed a long "NOOOO" in my head. I want moreeeeeeee. Please write Book 2 on Mad and Gabe's future story, even a short novella would be fine (pretty please)!!

Boy next door stories are a dime a dozen, but you can't go wrong with Katie Van Ark's debut. Rush into the world of ice skating and fall in love. Remember first loves. Recall your best friend. This is a book that will not disappoint.

The author was obviously a gifted and talented man as well as an intelligent one. His very humanistic and earthy writing appeal to everyone. It is not difficult to understand that this book was the motivation in the last half of the 19th. century morphing into the first half of the 20th. century for a renewed interest in the sport of archery. My only concern is why did he die so young. Depending on his birthday, he was only 56 or 57 years old. I would like to know the cause of death? Was it for wounds he received in the Civil War? Every aspiring archer should read this book keeping in mind he was referring to archery materials that were in current use in his day.

Probably one of the finest little books on Traditional archery and bowhunting. Interesting tale of brothers coming out of the civil war not allowed to have firearms and improvise by using bows and arrows.

This book is truly a treasure in the world of literature that deals with archery. Thompson paints a vivid picture of the wilds of Florida as it was before the developers swooped in, built Disney World and The Villages, and left behind an environmental near disaster. His writing on archery re-kindled an interest in the sport that continues today. If you have a love for the outdoors and the sport of archery I believe you'll treasure this book as much as I do.

This man was one of the inspirational figures for Howard Hill. They were hunting with a bow when bow hunting wasn't cool. The book is old, so some of the language reflects the racial biases of the time, but like Huck Finn, if take in its historical context, it's tolerable. Keep in mind that it was published before the turn of the last century. If you're hyper-sensitive to such language (though I did not see the "big one" in there) it may not be for you. If you want an interesting look at the history of modern archery in our country, give it a read.

I am glad to find this book in kindle form. Others are pdfs that don't read well on the device. That's the technical part.More important is the fact that this is an important and classic source book in the history of American archery as well as a representative 19th century piece of nature writing. It stands along with the likes of Grinnell, Seton, and Muir as careful nature observation in the Romantic tradition.This work influenced the generation of American hunting archers that included Pope and Young.In many ways, this is a wonderful, and by and large unrecognized, piece of American nature writing from its seminal era.

The book was quite well written Some might find many of the words and phrases quite antiquated. As far as it being a manual of archery, it is more of a look at the attitudes and customs of the time.

Overall I found this to be an enjoyable collection of hunting stories that so well reflects what some might consider a deplorable period in our history. After all, the writer shots anything that moves (while crticizing the users of modern shotguns of the same), he beats his dog, uses woodpeckers for target practice, and holds to many of the stereotypes that were common of the time. But historical nuances aside there is something nostalgic and endearing about the chance to gaze at a simpler golden era of the sport, especially when told with such detailed passion. Mr. Thompsons love for archery and the wild places of late 19th century U.S. are palpable and moving. And all the while one can't help but pick up a tidbit or two about the art even raising a chuckle here and there at the craziness of some of the adventures told. This makes the book both a pleasurable read on its own and a must read for any toxophilite or lover of traditional archery. I recommend it without hesitation, especially now that it is in eBook form. Enjoy!

I chose the 5-star rating purely on the content. Thompson is a good old-stchool writer with compelling stories and descriptive language. We may disagree with some of his targets today as they are either extinct or endangered, but it is typical of the era.This is good reading, not only for traditional archers and bowyers but anyone intrigued by the outdoors. The period is shortly after the American Civil War, mainly in the Southeast U.S..

Nice anecdotal explanation of how the microgreens business works in general. Light on the step by step instructions but I think that is a plus for the author and what he is trying to convey to the reader. Pretty good motivational ideas. Love the honesty parts!
