Only part I found helpful at all was the suggestion onmatching screen area to tablet work surface.Also, the author should consider having someone proof read and make corrections. It seems thatEnglish is not her first language.

I just got a cintiq for Christmas and this book has been an excellent introduction to digital art and the concept of a pen screen and graphic tablets in general. The content is down to earth and easy to understand and apply. The photoshop portion describes the tools and uses in a very helpful and easy way to remember with examples.

Super spoilers here... I've always had a thing against Valmont, so I'm pleased with the outcome. I loved the book, like all the others it was great. I love Bryn, she's so easy to identify with. That being said, I feel this book was kind of slow and drawn out, then we get to the big emotional epic parts of the book and BAM! those are over in a heartbeat. The way Bryn was acting after her friend died....blew my mind. This girl has had the biggest of all dramatic fits about Zavien and her current love issues... but she didn't seem affected much by something that changes her entire life from now on. Her betrothed will never be the same, this is a huge loss. The book just ends almost right after that with no more thought to the friend. That really bothered the hell out of me. The chemistry between Bryn and Jaxon is something I love as well, but we don't see much of it in this book. He isn't as present as past books.

Which would you prefer?”“Can we choose whose head you rip off?” Valmont asked. “Because that might affect our preference.”---He retrieved the manual and rolled it up like he planned to swat a fly. She doubted whacking him with a rolled-up manual would do any good, but it might be fun to watch.Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.

In the beginning of this series, I wasn't a huge fan of Bryn. She seemed childish and freaked when something didn't go her way. Since the first book, you've seen her slowly mature and take her family' reputation more seriously. As you get to the end of this book, you see her transform into a true Blue (but not in a bad way.) This is the best book in the series so far! You'll smile, laugh, and cry as you read this book. Finally, the book doesn't actually end in a cliffhanger, but it ends in the way that leaves you are frustrated because you crave to know more about how she is feeling and what is going to happen between her relationships between friends, family, enemies, and frienemies. I can't wait for the next book!!!!

~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~I love all things dragons, so naturally I love this book. But more than that I love the chemistry that the characters have in this book. So, if you have been reading this series, you know what has been going on. Well, I can tell you that if you do not read this book, you will miss out on something HUGE!! I mean, jaw dropping huge that you will not see it coming at all! I know I didn't.Again, Chris Cannon has gone above and beyond my expectations. Her writing is wonderful to read. The chemistry and the angst that the characters have is perfect and you can feel it coming off the pages! I implore you to get this book now!!

I'm not sure if I loved this book or hated it...... No I totally loved it.... But I'm mad at myself about my love of it! The twists and turns in this book were RIDICULOUS! I definitely didn't see them coming, and while I absolutely love that, I'm also mad bc it means the book didn't go how I was hoping/thinking it would! (I will begrudgingly admit it was even better than my weak brain's attempt.) This book set a dramatic climax for the last book, and I am DYING to see how Chris Cannon will blow my mind next.

Action, Romance, and plot twist are what await you in this new addition to the series. This is probably my favorite one yet. You see the characters come more into their own while struggling to live through things no normal Junior in highschool would ever go through. Chris once again hit this on out of the Park, buy her wonderful style of making you feel like you are right their with the characters. A must read not only for teens and young adults but adults as well! Can't wait for more!!!!! Small spoiler makes more sense once your done...I'm totally team JAXON!!!!!

Good read. Non stop action along with an emotional rollercoaster. Some tacky language but not much. Clean and fit for younger readers. 16+. I do hope this isn't the end of the story even though it looks like a major triangle is forming. Hate those. The Directorate and Jaxon's father need to hit the ground and not be allowed back up.

Great story! Lots of interesting developments with the hybrid dragons and the gang goes on lots of exploring adventures to find clues. The ending is very sad but leaves an opening for developments of certain relationships for Bryn. I am hoping for Jaxon but you don't see any real developments in this book but we'll see in the next. The book does have some foul language but is a clean book which I like. I am hoping Ms. Cannon doesn't make us wait a year for the next book! Great story!

I was attracted to this book because of the art style. It first introduces you to facial guidelines which is good but it then immediately tasks you to draw eyes, brows, ears, and nose without giving any guidance what so ever. It seems like they just gloss over the details which is a real bummer.If you’re a bit of a perfectionist like I am, the details are important and I see insufficient instructions.

This is a really well made book with clear instructions! It helps you understand anatomy and even extends beyond that. It's a great book for the price and a would recommend. I would say that it does take quite some determination from the reader and some passion. So if you're going to pick this up with a maybe, dont bother.

I would buy anything recommended by Julie Bogart. She just knows her stuff.

I purchased this in Kindle format to use with our Brave Writer book guides. I love the information and the way grammar is explained. However, the kindle version has a huge problem with the page numbers! While all the pages appear to be present the numbers are way off. Here are the numbers if the first dozen pages: 1, 3, 4, 22, 41, 42, 44, 49, 57, 58, 69, 77. As you can imagine this makes it very difficult to find the pages I'm looking for. In total, the page numbers go from 1 to 6266!

The team of Fine and Josephson have created a duo of books which gently teach an elusive subject and yet entertain the reader.Imagine a book with a CNN-style scroll at the bottom of each page. Follow the scroll and learn something new in grammar or refresh yourself on something half forgotten since high school. Then, viola!, the scroll also gives the reader a page reference to read more.Go a step further. Check out the cartoons (good ones like Baby Blues and Heathcliff) for more grammar pointers. Who woulda thunk it? Cartoonists as grammarians!! Wonderful!Fine and Josephson make their points without insulting the student nor overburdening the teacher. Nitty-Gritty is well organized and well explained. I have used these books very successfully in tutoring adults. A recent forty-five year old student, Cheryl, remarked she followed her book's CNN ticker in her text and "couldn't get enough of it." I agree with Cheryl.

Everything we wanted to know got answered. Am using this from the recommendation of Bravewriter for use in our homeschool to teach a kid how to write. Very good presentation of grammar - way more fun than Strunk & White

Love the book! Great review! Yes. I can and do look up grammar online. I still need a good book. This one is part of my grammar toolkit.

I like it's user-friendliness. Some topics weren't covered, but what it does cover was pretty easy to understand and it's not a huge and overwhelming book to read. My kids love the comics.

It covers a lot but we regularly have to refer to other sources for deeper information or to answer further questions my son has.

This book is even better than I hoped. It is clear and easy to understand and also quite funny. I would not have thought english grammer could be such fun.
