The life affirming words in each book have become prayers and praises as I converse with the children and their Maker. In "When I Pray for You", the author has captured the thoughts, hopes, cheers and fears of every parents and written them into this book, using descriptive, yet crisp language. The author and illustrator were intentional to be inclusive in the illustrations of the children. A wonderful book! Reading it, you sense the overflowing love of a mother for her child, and the illustrations are a delight. I was charmed by the 2-page spread where the reader has to turn the book sideways. Perfect for a grandparent to read to grandkids, too! I will be buying several copies for families I love.I really appreciate that the first line says, “From the moment I saw you,†not “from the day you were born†making the book easily relatable for all children and mothers, regardless of how they came to be a family.

I read this to my 3 kids (ages 15, 2, 9) and husband after dinner while still at the table last night. Everyone loved it! It is beautiful. This would make a wonderful gift! I plan to buy it for my nephews.
Wow this book is the cutest most heartwarming book ever. To pray over a child has to be the biggest blessing you can bestow upon a child. The prayer is so sweet and thoughtful and just to pray a prayer over the life of a little one is just amazing. I loved it and made it my own. I’m reading this prayer over my great nieces and loving them while I read to them. This book touched my heart and I’m so blessed to be able to review it. Read and be a blessings.
Loved this beautiful children's book so much! Full of bright and tasteful pictures with lots of details, my toddler spent a lot of time on each page looking at each part. And the poem from a parent telling their child all of the things they are praying for them will resonate with any parent that wants the best for their child. I love the emphasis on the gift the child is from God and how we as parents can trust that God will help our child grow to share the story of faith in the way each of us lives our lives. Highly recommend you add this one to your bookshelf!
Beyond the exquisite illustrations/colors are the deeply felt words of love for your child. Who could wish more for the overall life of their child than what is prayed in this book. I cried, I laughed, I felt grateful and found new ways to cherish those I love. Then I ordered it for my daughter! This book holds perfectly worded expressions of love.
