I have been reading this book on and off, and I really began to read it on a regular. Let me tell you that this lady knows what she's talking about. Out of every book that relates to this subject...it's very refreshing to get these kinda solutions from a female P.O.V.. I especially liked how she explains about stances. I knew that body language mattered, but this about stance, I had no idea about. Men are only concerned about one thing. Kezia's "noble art" gets into FULL DETAILS! BOTH EMOTIONAL & SEDUCTION!!!BUY THIS BOOK GUYS!

I have seen some of Kezia Noble's videos and I really love the way she lays it out there, so when I saw that she had done a book on the subject of pick up, I had to have it. After reading through the book, I was very impressed and I know I learned a lot about women and pick up in general. But, I was truly blown away by the insight that she provided, it was truly awesome. For any man who struggles with dating women, this book is like a bible. With the information in this book, you can definitely better your life.

Kezia then goes on to tell her tale of how she began working in the area of helping men become successful with women. I was originally skeptical of gleaning information from a woman's perspective, how`ever upon reading, it is apparent she has a very good, mind you professional insight into key concepts to improve a man's success with women. In addition, she is a very attractive Brit, so she understands the selective process women undergo. I can't comment on her other works, but I do like this book, and recommend it to someone interested in attracting better quality women into a man's life.

There are no magic formulas, but there are plenty of do's and don'ts. This is a woman's view on what interactions seem to work positively and why some work negatively. Kezia has some good videos on the net also. Kezia has an interesting perspective from working with Gambler (Richard La Ruina)!

So many books seem to want to front-load a bunch of theory about for loops and how many bytes a certain statement might take up. Generally, I understand the concepts, but part of me yearns to "get my hands dirty", as I find I feel disconnected from true understanding. I don't care if it's the simplest thing, I want to start "doing" something, and this is where this book really shines.Alan Forbes gives a very practical education on PHP. Right away, he has you set up a virtual server, and quickly moves you into a practical example setting up a database for a used car lot. It's down to Earth, approachable, and teaches the exact concepts that I was looking for in PHP.I'm about half way through the book and in a little more than a week, I've begun coding in PHP, using a virtual server, and created mySQL databases! whereas with some of the thicker, encyclopedic tomes that I have, I'd still be trudging through snippets of unrelated code, still not knowing what I'm actually supposed to do with it. This is one of those books that makes you feel that PHP is possible for a beginner to use.There are a few minor drawbacks, but they don't take away at all from the great value of this book.The first is the editing (I have the 2015 edition). The code works, but every now and then I find a minor typo like on pg. 87 line 36 (no opening tag) and like pg. 89 line 7 (where he creates a variable called $mysqli and in the explanation refers to it as $con (which messed me up for a bit trying to figure out where $con was)). The book sometimes makes reference to color highlighted code, but the printing is black and white. Some pictures are missing. For example pg. 101 he says, your table "should look like this:" and there is a space with no picture.The next thing is that I felt a little bit like I was tossed in the deep end pretty quickly. He went from some simple concepts to a 79 line program pretty quickly. It felt a little overwhelmed, but going through his line-by-line explanation a few times, I finally began picking up the concepts, and when I finally got to the end of the first program, I really felt like I had a decent handle on what was going on. It was an abrupt way to begin, but by the end I felt like I got a lot out of it.If you're thinking about buying this book, I would recommend it as a companion book to learning PHP as a whole. Luckily for me, I had been messing around with JavaScript for a few weeks prior to picking up this book, and understood some of the concepts of OOP. Alan Forbes quickly introduces these topics, but doesn't go in depth on them.Where the book really shines is in its practical introduction to PHP. The examples are great, and Alan Forbes breaks them down line by line to tell you exactly what the code is doing. Well worth the purchase price since I feel like I actually learned something.Thank you Alan Forbes!

I wouldn't really want to admit I loved this book but I did learn PHP well enough to complete a fairly advanced MariaDB project so I figured just saying a liked the book wasn't fair. The author made learning PHP very easy and I really like his style of teaching. I'd be hard pressed to remember a book that flowed so well and explained the concepts in a way that it made understanding them trivial. Now I think he needs to write an Assembly book, you hear that Alan get started assembling that book.

Less instructions, more an explanation of how a specific program was written. The book follows the creation of a single program for a fictional business and teaches more by example. It is not a reference manual for PHP coding and discusses very little outside of this single program.The original content appears to have been written as a kickstarter and for web viewing as it makes several references to the screen for charts, diagrams and pictures that aren't included in the book.However, if you ever want to write a web based PHP program to track automotive sales, this book has it going on and is absolutely for you!

i purchased this book on kindle. after reading this book i feel like this book was written quickly and not revised thereafter , the author does not seem to listen to comments.there is no reason why you should buy this book for the following reasons:1- use of deprecated code : for example location 1328 -> using mysql_real_escape : that is deprecated2- disregard security e.g. in location 1328 : didn't demo prepared statements : not acceptable because security is mandatory not optional. he mention SQL injection in the security chapter but that is not reflected in the code he teaches.3- location 1505 under "code explained" : sending an order to delete stuff in GET request ? really ?those demonstrate bad programming practices and not something you want to learn.typos:location 765 under title "PHP while" : wrong syntax ,there is no "endwhile" in PHP syntax.location 981 under title "where statement" , typo of the select statement : missing single quotes.location 1085 : it says "create a variable called $con" -> but the variable is not called $conlocation 1306 : we are going move -> should be going to move

This is a well written biography of an American original, Benjamin Franklin. Isaacson begins with some context (page 2): "He was, during his eighty-four-year-long life, America's best scientist, inventor, diplomat, writer, and business strategist, and he was also one of its most practical, though not most profound, political thinkers." The author goes on to say (page 2): ". . .the most interesting thing that Franklin invented, and continually reinvented, was himself. America's first publicist, he was, in his life and in his writings, consciously trying to create a new American archetype. In the process, he carefully crafted his own persona, portrayed it in public, and polished it for posterity."The book traces his life from start to finish. It does not hide the fact that he was a fairly poor "husband" and father, watching his own son become a Tory and essentially giving up on him as a consequence. It notes episodes where he may have gotten caught up in his own persona and image.Nonetheless, he was an original and someone who contributed much to the development of an independent American nation. Part of this is his efforts to engage in self-improvement. A list of "virtues," portrayed on pages 89-90 illustrates. Here, he noted "with an endearing simplicity" key virtues to adhere to, such as temperance ("Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation"), silence, order, resolution, frugality, industry, etc.He was someone who did great work as a publisher, as an inventor and scientist, as a public servant. For instance, the book notes that he was a creator of the "matching grant," a way of making scarce dollars stretch further (page 148). As postmaster, appointed when the colonies were still under British rule, he institute a number of reforms, ending up cutting delivery time of the mail, creating home delivery of mail, and so on. And being entrepreneurial to the core, he also used this opportunity to advance other of his interests (providing jobs for friends, improving his publishing network, invigorating the American Philosophical Society, and making some money in the process).He spent considerable time abroad, in London earlier and in Paris later, as a diplomat and representative of the colonies and later the United States. He was a player in the Continental Congress and was a member of the committee assigned to craft a Declaration of Independence. Very late in life, he served at the Constitutional Convention, although in declining health.All in all, this is a book that depicts Franklin as a complex human being. As noted in the introductory paragraph of this review, he was aware of who he was, how people saw him, and he worked to maintain and develop that persona. And what a persona it was!For someone wishing an accessible and highly readable biography of Franklin, this is an excellent choice.

Other people have covered the details of the book well, so I will compare it to other popular biographies about the Founding​ Fathers written recently to give the reader an idea of what to expect. The trend in biographies lately seems to be elegant and almost novelistic prose. This book is written in a very different style: simple but not simplistic, accessible but not unintelligent. An unusual aspect is that rather than let one subject flow into another, the chapters are further separated into subheadings (e.g. "The American Philosophical Society", "Supplying General Braddock").The author previously wrote a biography of Steve Jobs, and clearly has an interest in business. Much time is spent on Franklin's early years as a businessman, which I did not find as interesting as his politics. Much time is spent on British colonial economic policy, which I did find very interesting and informative. Additionally, it helped explain why the Tea Partiers were so violently opposed to the taxes and duties. The British government had enacted many policies to keep the colonies economically dependent on the mother country, such as outlawing ironworks in the colonies and suppressing manufacturing. I've read quite a few books about the Revolution and this was the most unexpectedly edifying on the motivations of the rebels in that aspect. This book justifies it's price on that subject alone. (Those uncomfortable with economics should know it was explained clearly enough that I could understand it well, despite having never taken an economics course.)Additionally, Franklin finally gets his due as a world-class scientist in this biography. As a scientist myself, I wish more had gone into the process of his many discoveries, but it seems likely that there just wasn't enough source material to expand.A note of criticism: in terms of psychological insight, the book leaves you a little bit wanting. His personal relationships with both men and women are notably detached and a little cold, but no real explanation is given for why this should be so for such an extroverted and warm man. The book quotes the opinion of other commentarors, such as conservative columnist David Brooks, quite a few times on the nature of his political beliefs. I would have preferred the authors own interpretations.The description of Franklin's transition from a peacemaker who finds himself the target of anger from American rebels for being too inclined to seek compromise- to one of the most passionate voices for independence is elegantly done. When I finished the book I felt like I had real understanding of Franklin as a person full of contractions. A man who loathed conflict but supported a revolution, who wrote The Way to Wealth but was an ardent champion of the common man, who was the darling of the French Court but disliked aristocracy... In other words, a real person, not a cardboard cutout.

This is the third copy of this book I have purchased, having given away my other two, that how much I love it. Isaacson wrote an excellent biography of Franklin, one that I've reread a few times. I know the expression"like you were there" is overused but this book actually makes you feel you knew the real Franklin. I've been reading a lot about the younger Franklin recently, his time as an apprentice to his brother James, a printer, his self-education, his escape to Philadelphia, but this book presents the complete Franklin in a way thats reachable. Its not complicated reading, its an exciting story that makes you totally familiar with the man, warts and all.

Benjamin Franklin was a complicated personality whose political views changed over time. Franklin used Greek Philosophy as stepping stones from which he derived his first views on politics, virtues, and moral pragmatism but he shaped and modified these views as he aged. It is probably impossible to capture the essence of Benjamin Franklin's nature but this biography does it as well as it can be done. Franklin was invaluable when it came to editing the Declaration of Independence and negotiating the post-war treaties with France and England which established the first 13 colonies as an independent nation. Franklin preached tolerance and patience to the delegates as they argued about the creation of a representative form of government for the colonies. Concise and impartial this biography credits the imaginative Benjamin Franklin with having a significant influence on American culture and politics.
