This is the Mother of all campaigns. The adventure everybody talks about. Did your investigators make it? How did you defeat the Mythos? It was great news when this absolute masterwork was reprinted and reconditioned. The story is fantastic and sees the players travel over the European continent with legendary challenges. Also Chaosium has terrific preps in their product range so your players can drink tea out of real Orient mugs or fill out Orient telegrams for urgent matters to Istanbul, Prague or Vienna on the way. This is a must buy and don't forget to log onto Chaosiums home page for the 5-star preps!

Definitely well worth the money. The box set really makes a good impression on first sight, and a even better one once you start reading it. The new edition has handouts and props that are really high quality, not to mention 1 over 100pages long book thats just devoted to player handouts.The books also adresse that which is widely considered the biggest weakspot of this massive campaign: railroading , all the scenarios have a neat overview with info regarding main and optional scenarios as well as potential plot points where the campaign might derail, and suggestions how to avoid that as a GM. This box set arrived at my door not long ago and though I'm still poring over the seemingly endless pages of material available, I'm very eager for the change to share this with my players, though I suspect it'll be awhile before I can get a game up and running. No doubt this is going to take quite a lot of work from myself as a keeper to run, but I think it will be well worth the effort put forth. The depth to which the setting and individual adventures are explored in the many books provided is staggering, and it includes a wealth of props, handouts, and even investigator ideas that are sure to provide plenty of extra entertainment should you choose to use them. Snag the physical version while you've got the chance if you want it, as I get the feeling it will soon turn into a rarity like the previous edition.

This product is truly spectacular. The most detailed campaign produce I've ever seen. In addition, I received a version that had the HIGH QUALITY Kickstarter simulacrum pieces. Most second or third printings (not sure how many) of this have a sheet of paper with an image of the simulacrum props. Mine came with the actual simulacrum props, so if those are important to you, Amazon might have old stock!

The only complaint I have is that the packing box wasn't packed well and it got dropped and broke my printed box. The game is cool. You get a ton of books and props including a heavy puzzle grade cardboard Sedefkar Simulacrum. The character sheets in the back of book 5 are cool if you're a YSDC member and listened to their campaign. It's very thorough and well done.

Chaosium Inc. updated a great camping and added to it! The box is packed so full of books and information it bows. Most Call of Cthulhu games can be a race to see who can keep from going insane first. Chaosium Inc. gave multiple options on how to make this a long term playable scenario. They include a handout book that you can pull the pages out to use right at the table. They also include a huge book of NPC's to use on the go with spaces to fill in info on the go. They did how ever not put perforations so removing the NPC so that they can be played is a pain and will destroy you copy.The best part of this campaign was the price. I picked my copy up new for about $70.00 and then purchased the PDF version of the campin from Chaosium Inc. coming in way under the $119.99 MSRP. This way I can put the info on my iPad and print out the NPC sheet and not damage my box set.

I love ir, every pice is inmersive and well done, definetily one of the greatest campaigns

Just started reading into Book 2. So far I really like it and the optional adventures. The adventure writing is where this excels as the author has the after sight of this being the second edition and reflects well on what may or may not work.I think where it fails so far is in painting a descriptive picture of the setting. I am also struggling with the names and locations of Europe as I have never been to any of these places. It would be hard for me to describe these places with what's given. My not having been to these places especially in this time period doesn't help.However, it's also well annotated with references to books and movies to paint the scenes right. It looks like I have some work to do before I play it in this regard.All in all, I don't mind generalizing descriptions of setting if the story is good, and I think it is here. Story is king for me and I am happy with the quality and amount they give you here.

I enjoyed reading this, but that is as far as it goes with me. The author tells you what this magical secret is, which if you haven't heard of of SEO, would be. A general over view of how they did it. Not much step by step. Not much information on how to do it or do it proficiently.Then jumps into a gloss over of starting your own freelance gig. This is a great introduction and breif overview. Not a step by step guide. Your computer will not be a money making machine after only reading this book. Use your computer to Google SEO or SEO books / courses. You could probably even type SEO into Amazon and see what the top selling books are.I would not spend my money on this if I could do it over again.

Every human on this planet should read this book!It's not very long but it didn't need to be. It is heart wrenching and infuriating and inspiring and about a million other adjectives I could think of... but that's the kind of feeling we need to experience when we're reading about this type of horror. The real life, actual horror people inflict on one another, sick, twisted, wretched, heartbreaking and utterly disgustingness of what Nazi Germany really did.Elie survived, that in itself is a miracle, that he chose to share that terrible chapter of his life with all of us so that we may learn, that's his gift to us. Don't waste that.It only takes good men to do nothing for evil to prevail. Keep your eyes open, people.

This....I lack words. Mr. Wiesel has woven a tale of such epic proportions, describing in all too vivid detail the horrors of the holocaust. There is a REASON this book ranks up there with The Diary of Anne Frank as one of the definitive works for this subject matter. I was saddened to hear of Mr. Wiesel's passing. When it came time for my son to study the holocaust in school, I decided to add this book to his learning experience. This book captures the gravity of the situation, and explains the horrors, perhaps not adequately, because how could one convey that level of horror to anyone who hasn't lived it, but as well as I think is possible on paper. This is always, ALWAYS my first recommendation when the topic of holocaust literature is broached.

No one should need an excuse to re-read a book as powerful as Night, but if I needed one, the new(er) translation by the author’s wife provided it. The one thing that might have helped make sense of the grotesque insanity was gone, and with it, a large portion of the previously pious young victim’s self and soul. Remarkably (particularly given how pious the narrator was before being herded in cattle cars with so many others to Auschwitz), the complete loss of a sense of God’s justice did not happen over the course of a long incarceration as he struggled to find meaning in the light of faith. The change was immediate, everything was lost in a day, so brutal, so thorough, was the Nazi violation. How could a just God let this happen?There are so many memorable scenes in this short book: the journey in the cramped cattle cars; the arrival at the camp; the sight, sound, and ash of the crematorium; the hanging of a child; the crusts of bread; the forced march when the camp was abandoned at war’s end; the gratuitous murders even in a place where gratuitous murder was organizing principle. And there are so many painful moments, most having to do with loss: the loss of God, the loss of identity, the loss of friends and family, in the end the loss of his father, too, who was his mainstay through most of the ordeal. But there are also moments of remembering that humanity must be preserved. As the camp was being evacuated, the prisoner’s stopped long enough to clean their prison camp. Why? To let the liberating army know “that here lived men and not pigs.” I was reminded of Italian chemist Primo Levi’s account of his imprisonment in Auschwitz, If This Is a Man, in which he describes the ex-army sergeant who washed daily, even though the water was dirty and he had only his soiled clothes to dry himself with. But he did it, and encouraged others to do the same, for the sake of dignity more than cleanliness, to remain human and to prevent the machine of war, imprisonment, and dehumanization from turning prisoners into beasts, as its masters wished it to do.This book is a ringing call to remember, and to resist injustice, ignorance, and apathy. As Wiesel said in his speech accepting the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986 (reprinted at the end of this book): “We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere.”

This a mature book, but it is definitely a must read for teenagers and adults. The ideas may be a too strong for children or pre-teens. It is poignant and graphic, but gets a clear message across. If you’re looking for short read and have interest in the holocaust and the victims who suffered through it, this is the book for you. I suggest you read through the preface and the forward in the beginning of the book, as well as the author’s note at the end. All in all, this is a great book that will provide you with both information and a saddening perspective of World War II.

This is the true experience of Elie as a teenager with his dad trying to keep his father alive while surviving the holocaust. It gives you an inside view of the concentration camps and what millions of Jews experienced every day that they got to live. It is raw at times because it exposes what Elie saw with his own eyes, and the impact that it had on his thoughts and emotions at the moment.

I liked this book. I will not say I loved this book because the subject is too awful to be real. Reading this story I felt like that young boy asking "... Is this a dream..." It's hard for me, an infant of the 70's, a child of the 80's, a teen of the 90's, to believe that these atrocities ever occurred. I remember reading in history that Churchill/ Patton? (please correct me if I'm wrong) wanted pictures taken "... Because someday, there will be those who'll say 'this never happened'."I feel for the survivors, their families. I worry for my children who will learn that great men like this author are less than current winners of this prestigious award. It is up to us, the third generation, the generation that makes or erases history, "to look into that young Jews eyes and say ... That we are not forgetting [them]. When their voices are stifled, we will lend them ours"Here is my testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I am amazed, I just complete this book in a non stop book after book after getting hooked on book 1 of the series. Yeah, I have read nothing but Legacy Fleet books for Days and I have enjoyed each and every one of them and now I have to suffer withdrawals until Book 7 comes out. I did not want a book 7, there are so many other stories out there in the eBook World begging for my attention, but even if I start reading them I will have to come back here as soon as Book 7 is released.And to make matters even worse is the Author has told me that there are spin offs that he and others have written, so it looks like I should be able to get a fix or two while awaiting Book 7.I am really not complaining as I actually love long series like this and hope it runs on to 20 or 30 books and I will read them all... Get to work Mr. Nick Webb my addiction needs feeding....

Storyline on this one meandered around and really seemed to lose focus. Also, what's up with the insane amount of typos and grammatical errors? Several per page at times, and I'm not talking about little things. Subject/predicate agreement, tense shifts, proper homonym usage (there/they're/their and the like). Completely pulled me out of the story too often.

I’ve read all 6 books in this series and “Liberty” is my favorite so far. Granger’s return to the flesh was unexpected, as was his plan to unite the four species. His loss of memory in the process was a realistic and humanizing touch. Proctor’s full rise to Granger’s heroic stature should satisfy any feeling that she was being shortchanged as a heroine. Balsey’s sacrificial demise was classic and frees Batshit to stop living his life in counterpoint to his father. All that and all the elements necessary to set up Book 7 - can’t wait.

It was hard to put down. Great sci fi ideas, combined with steady, fast paced action. I had been a bit disappointed at the cliffhanger of the previous book in the series, but this one ties it up nicely. While there’s an opening for another book, this one gets some nice closure on the current story arc, and is pretty satisfying.Of minor note, there are a number of obvious typos, it could use a good proofreading. But that kind of thing doesn’t bother me enough to have me mark it down in the rating.

Another great book, "Liberty", in the Legacy Fleet series! This is one of my all time favorite hard sci-fi series. The kind you never want to end! Thank you Nick Webb for creating this thrilling, action packed ride for us to live vicariously through your rich imagination. Given the great action, sometimes the story line and character development suffer, with other authors, but, you sir, have delivered in spades. You are producing a great Legacy of your own. Thank you. Still a very captivating book, but the story has taken such a mythical twist I found it read more like a religious novel then a scifi. I hope the next one will put all these time travel polt behind and take us back to those hard earn, win by sheer will and determination story I came to love of the series.

Won't go into plot, it's already discussed. It's the wildest collection of plots and subplots, Both Humanity and it's enemies are about to be squashed by an unthinkably powerful foe, and Earth's foe(s) keep changing and their friends are also their potential threats. It's a wild story that keeps getting wider all the time, and the ending may not be'''the ending. Does this make sense? I may reread it in a couple of months to see what I missed of the details.
